Senior Night: Celebrating Four Years of Friendship, Growth & Tiger Golf

Some nights are about more than the score on the card. Senior Night was one of those nights.

Four years ago, six of our seniors stepped onto the golf course as freshmen, joining a Millennium Girls Golf team made up entirely of freshmen. They were young, inexperienced, and still figuring out not only their golf games, but what it meant to be part of a team.

What they couldn't have known then was just how much they would build together.

Over the next four years, they grew from that all-freshman team into experienced varsity golfers competing at the highest level of Arizona high school golf. Together, they helped build Millennium into a Division I Top 5 program in the state something that seemed so far away when they first started this journey.

But their story is about so much more than golf.

Along the way, teammates became friends, and friends became best friends.

They've experienced the long practices, 110-degree Arizona afternoons, tournament nerves, incredible rounds, disappointing rounds, laughter on the course, team dinners, road trips, victories, tears, and countless memories that will stay with them long after their final putts fall.

We've had the privilege of watching six young freshmen grow into confident young women who have left their mark on Millennium Girls Golf.

Senior Night gave us the opportunity to celebrate everything they have accomplished.

Our final home match was held at Palm Valley Arcis Golf, and we are incredibly thankful for their support and for allowing us to create such a special evening for our seniors and their families. After the final holes were played, it was time to put the golf clubs down for a little while and simply celebrate.

There were senior displays filled with memories, photos from years past, flowers, families, teammates, laughter and, of course, plenty of tears. Looking back at photos from freshman year and comparing them to the young women standing in front of us was a reminder of just how quickly four years can pass.

An evening like this also takes a village.

A huge thank you to Kreative Kays for creating the most amazing Senior Night cookies. They were beautiful, delicious and the perfect addition to our celebration.

Thank you to DoraMarie Photography for photographing our seniors and creating their Senior Banner photos, giving each athlete and family something special to remember this season by.

To all of the parents who volunteered, decorated, set up, cleaned up, brought items and helped make the evening come together thank you. These girls have been surrounded by families who have supported not only their own daughters, but the entire team.

And finally, a special thank you to our Millennium Girls Golf Booster Program. Our booster program exists because parents believed these athletes deserved opportunities, support and experiences beyond what happens during a round of golf. Senior Night was another example of what can happen when a community comes together for its athletes.

To our six seniors: this program is part of your legacy.

You helped take a brand-new group of freshmen and turn it into one of the top Division I girls golf programs in Arizona. You helped establish traditions, expectations and friendships that we hope future Tigers will continue for years to come.

The banners will eventually come down. The uniforms will be put away. The scorecards will become memories.

But the friendships, the lessons and the program you helped build will remain.

Four years ago, you started as freshmen learning the game together.

You leave as seniors, accomplished golfers, best friends, and a group of young women who helped build something truly special.

Congratulations to the Millennium Girls Golf Class of 2027.

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. 💜🐯⛳
